” Pam K ” Pleasanton,CA ” Brian is the best! He was on time to meet with me to give me a quote to refinish some wood floors that probably had never seen the light of day for over 20 years. His estimate for my 1500 sq foot house was very reasonable. He couldn’t fortell if there were any water damage but it was an estimated quote.
Brian knows the business. There is a way to refinish floors while having the house painted and he gave tips to make sure that refinishing the floors and wall painting isn’t going to either dirty the painted walls, or damage the painted floors.
He worked with me in scheduling around my needs. While he estimated that it would take 7-8 days, I needed him to finish in 5 which he worked around.
He is very easy to reach on the phone. Always returns phone calls. Keeps you informed of what is going on. Gives honest and good advice.
When I made the decision to not repair some wood in the dining room because I was going to put a rug over it, my husband thought we should repair.
This happened on the final walk through. When I asked Brian if the repairs could be done, he said, yes but that it would cost him more money but he would eat the cost. I didn’t want to put Brian in that situation and even though he told me that it is NOT about the money, but about the customer being satisfied, I was grateful knowing that Brian would have made the repairs for me. I decided not to since it was my fault I didn’t make the decision earlier. But I just wanted to tell you what a great guy Brian is. He is willing to make the customer happy.
When I questioned some additional costs that a couple of his workers had listed for repairs, Brian got right on top of it. Brian came to the house with the workers and had them point it out and calculate the costs. Also, I made the mistake of not knowing to take out the baseboards as I had someone else pull up the carpet and dispose of it. Brian was reasonable in redoing the additional costs because of the misunderstanding.
I would highly recommend Brian for your wood floors. I had other people look at the estimate and they said that my price was pretty reasonable. Brian is an honest and hardworking person.

Brian is the owner you don’t mind inviting to your home. He is descent, honest and true to his word. He is dependable, diligent, communicative and easy to deal with.
My task was to install new hardwood throughout my house. Brian descended into my dark dingy looking home. The floors had old vinyl and brown 70’s shag from the previous owners. I ended up installing DuChateau Hardwood throughout the house. The crew arrived when they said they would. No showing up super early and surprising you, no coming to work at noon. Punctual.
The final product – WOW!
I have exactly what I wanted a classic wide plank floor. I had intially found the floor in Architectural Digest. I’m on budget and I’m happy all because I made one phone call to Diablo Flooring.
